The jackpot has now increased to an estimated $1.6 billion for the draw on Tuesday 23rd October 2018. This makes it the largest jackpot in US lottery history. That record was previously held by the PowerBall lottery drawing held on 13th January 2016 with a jackpot of $1.586 billion.
The winning numbers for Friday 19th October 2018’s MegaMillions lottery draw were 15, 23, 53, 65, 70 with the megaball 7.
Even though no one won the jackpot drawing, over 12.4 million people won a prize of some sort. 15 tickets matched the 5 regular balls in last nights draw winning $1,000,000. 289 tickets matched 4 regular balls and the megaball, each ticket winning a prize of $10,000. In total there were 12,446,690 winning tickets for last nights drawing. These tickets won a combined $12,445,690 in prize money.
