US Powerball Adds Monday Night Drawings and Double Play

Have you dreamed of higher jackpots in multi-state lotteries? Have you ever wished you could have more chances to win a large jackpot? Well, the Powerball lottery has just announced the addition of Monday night drawings to their Powerball lottery. Now you will have 3 chances a week to win the Powerball jackpot.
Currently, the Powerball lottery is drawn on a Wednesday and a Saturday. With the addition of Monday’s that means there will now be 3 drawings a week. Monday drawings will start happening on Monday the 23rd of August, 2021. With the addition of a 3rd weekly drawing, we can expect the Powerball jackpot to start growing even faster and see more frequent high jackpots in the hundreds of millions of dollars.
The Monday night drawings for Powerball will be available in every state that currently plays the Powerball lottery. Drawings will be held at the usual time, 10:59 pm ET on Mondays and can be watched live on Powerball.com or on your local television network that carries the Powerball drawings.
In addition to the new Monday drawings, the Powerball lottery is adding a new feature called Double Play in certain states. For an extra dollar, you can add the Double Play option to your ticket. When the Powerball lottery is drawn on Mondays, Wednesday’s and Saturdays, there will then be an additional drawing held right after the first drawing. The numbers you chose for the main Powerball drawing will then be used for the second (Double Play) drawing. If you selected and paid for the Double Play option you will be eligible for prizes in both the main Powerball drawing and the Double Play Drawing. At launch Double Play will only be available in Colorado, Florida, Indiana, Maryland, Michigan, Missouri, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Puerto Rico, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, and Washington.
